The right to be informed

Catch A Thief UK will inform you if we share your data with third parties and other organisations unless we have an exception or exemption.

 

The right to be forgotten

If you would like your personal data removed or amended we can remove or amend your data but we will need to retain your details for audit purposes for a period of time depending on the legal retention requirements relating to, for example, crime reports.

 

The right of access

You have the right to access any information we hold on you by emailing Catch A Thief UK at report.help@catchathief.co.uk we will respond to your request within 28 days.

you have the right to obtain the following information from Catch A Thief:

1. confirmation that we are processing your personal data

2. copy of your personal data

3. Other supplementary information

The right to rectification

You have the right for any inaccurate personal data to be rectified or completed if uncompleted you can do this verbally or in written which we will respond to your request within 28 days. In certain circumstances we can refuse a request for rectification, this right is closely link to the data controller under the GDPR accuracy principle.

The right to restrict processing

You have the right to request restriction or suppression of your personal data, please note this is not a absolute right and only applies in certain circumstances. When you restrict your personal data we will not use your data but may still store your data, you can request to restrict your data, verbally or written we will respond to your request within 28 days. This right is linked to the right to rectification.

The right to data portability

You have the right to request any copy of personal data we hold on you and third party, if the third party agrees and where it is necessary. If requested we will also transfer your data from one controller to another controller.

 

The right to object

You have the right to object to Catch A Thief UK processing your data, in certain circumstances such as you have the right to stopping your data to be used for marketing. We may still process your data if we have a compelling reason to do so. You can contact us verbally or in writing to exercise this right and we will respond within 28 days.

 

Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling

We will only carry out this type of decision-making where the decision is:

1. Necessary for the entry into or performance of a contract; or

2. Authorised by Union or Member state law applicable to the controller; or

3. Based on the individual’s explicit consent.

We identify that our processing may fall under Article 22 and, we will make sure that we:

1. Give individuals information about the processing;

2. Introduce simple ways for them to request human intervention or challenge a decision;

3. Carry out regular checks to make sure that our systems are working as intended.
